I began traveling as a young girl with my grandparents and have loved it for as long as I can remember. I was fortunate enough to go on high school trips to Europe and even spend a semester in Rome as an undergrad. As an educator I was able to take my own students on the same kinds of trips that started my love affair with Europe. I discovered that I had a knack for helping friends and family plan trips of all sorts. I love the nitty gritty details of it all. I love seeing people light up when they tell me their travel stories.
I have come to understand that travel is a powerful thing. It can be restorative or wildly adventurous. It can help you discover a whole world you didn't know existed. It can bring you closer to friends and family and give you memories to treasure for the rest of your life. It broadens the mind and enriches the spirit. Simply put, the power of travel is absolutely transformative.
Let me help you start planning your next adventure!
My husband is Irish and we go every year to spend time with family and soak up as much culture, scenery and Guinness as possible. Ireland is one of the friendliest countries in the world with absolutely stunning landscape. From the rugged Wild Atlantic Way, quaint castles and cozy pubs with traditional Irish music, there is something for everyone. Come explore your own Irish roots or come and make new friends!
I have been madly in love with Italy since I was fifteen years old. I was able to spend seven months in Rome working on my classics degree. It is my happy place! The wine, food, art and history are a magical combination. Whether you want to visit the classic trio of Rome, Florence and Venice, visit the smaller hidden towns of Tuscany and Umbria, or explore the ruins of Pompeii, you simply cannot go wrong with Italy.
New Orleans is the place I call home and I love helping visitors explore this unique American city. It is a city famous for is culinary scene, boasting an exciting assortment of bars and restaurants. It is the birth place of Jazz and it continues to have a robust music with live music all over town on any given night. Of course New Orleans hosts some of the world's most amazing events. We have the Jazz and Heritage Festival, Essence Festival and of course Mardi Gras. It is a beautiful city with historic charm and it knows how to throw a party!
As vacations go, cruising is a great option. They can be as relaxing or as adventurous as you like! You can sail the ocean with exotic ports of call or you can float down the rivers of Europe stopping to explore Christmas markets and historic capitals. You can even go on expedition cruises to Antarctica! While there is a wide variety of cruise types they all have one fabulous thing in common: you only have to unpack once!
